I am an advanced member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.
I have qualifications from the Publishing Training Centre in copy-editing (merit)
and proofreading (distinction).
My clients in the past year have included Cambridge University Press (Camden historical series; Greece and Rome; International Review of the Red Cross; Journal of African History; Journal of Global History); Cambridge International Examinations; The London School of Economics; SCM Press; Yale University Press; various individual academic authors.
I have a doctorate in the history of science (University of Cambridge) and have also undertaken degree-level work in chemistry, earth sciences, and molecular biology. I have published two books and have written articles for a number of other books and journals.
I have held various research and curatorial posts in national and provincial museums, including the curatorship of an important academic film museum in Exeter.
I am a semi-professional singer, with a particular interest in Renaissance music.
